- Born in Beljarshy, Al-Baha province, specifically in the village of Hezna in the foothills of the mountains overlooking the Tihama.
- my primary school were dispersed between the Alabna schools in Tabuk airbase and the U.S. state of California Saudi school in Los Angeles where I accompanied my father in his scientific session of that period.
- I finished the rest of the intermediate school in addition to secondary school in Alabna schools of the air defense in Jeddah, both with general grade of very good
- I joined the Faculty of Science, King Abdulaziz University in the desire of the Physics Department from which I got the degree of Bachelor of Science (General Physics) general grade Excellent
- I was appointed a teacher assistant where I taught practical physics for students of the College of Engineering also contributed to the teaching of some other theory and practice courses for students of Faculty of Science
- I got scholarship to complete my graduate studies in Cardiff University, Wales, UK, during this period received a master and doctorate degrees from the School of Physics and Astronomy, majoring in Optoelectronics

Research Interests
My research includes the design and fabrication of semiconductor devices laser diode and study the optoelectronic properties of these devices by measuring thier absorption, spontaneous and stimulated emission spectra. The current research topics include red emitters quantum dot laser diode which used in photodynamic therapy of cancer and also used in the manufacture of dual wavelength sources.
